BRAD DRAPER earned his bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Northern Colorado and master’s degree in percussion performance from the University of Minnesota. Brad has a strong teaching background at the primary and secondary school levels teaching student’s ages 5 – 18 years old. He has taught beginning percussion technique through advanced drum set and hand drum, and also has experience teaching college students and adults advanced orchestral techniques and a wide variety of drum set styles including jazz, funk, rock, Latin and African patterns. In addition to his percussion expertise, Brad is known for his personable teaching style. Whether instructing children or adults, Brad adapts to his students' interests with engaging curriculum, enabling students to feel engaged and master new skills.
A busy performer, Brad's experience encompasses professional theater, jazz, rock, church ensembles and classical orchestras. Currently, Brad is the co-owner and drummer for Power of 10, a 10-piece R&B/funk band that performs regularly throughout the Twin Cities.
